Wedding Terms and Conditions
1. Securing the booking
The booking of the event is only reserved once The Client has paid the deposit.
The deposit is £100, this is required to secure the event.
Once paid, this can be refunded up to 7 days after the trial if The Client does not wish to go ahead with the booking.
If The Client cancels before a trial has taken place, the booking fee will not be refunded.
Arranging a trial without paying the booking fee does not reserve The Artist’s services for the event.
2. Payment
Payments can be made in cash or via BACS. Cheques will not be accepted.
The deposit of £100 paid by The Client is deducted from the wedding day fee.
The trial is paid for on the trial day.
The wedding day fee is due 28 days before the wedding date, if paying via BACS.
Cash on the day is also accepted.
3. Responsibility of The Client
The Client shall inform The Artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes skin sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The Artist cannot be held liable for any loss or damage that is incurred due to The Client’s failure to inform The Artist of any known condition.
The Artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members the party for
abusive or threatening behaviour.
4. Cancellations
At any point The Client can cancel the event by informing The Artist.
If The Client cancels a wedding booking with 90 days notice, The Client agrees to pay 50% of the agreed wedding day fee.
Any less and The Client is required to pay 100% of the agreed wedding day fee.
Wedding bookings between March-Oct require a min booking of 5 services. If numbers drop below after the deposit has been paid and fee agreed, the minimum spend of £450 will be charged. Only a certain number of weddings can be taken on in one year which is why a minimum spend is in place.
Cancellations by The Artist due to issues rendering their performance, will result in a refund to the client of the £100 deposit. No further compensation will be offered.
If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of The Artist, every possible endeavor to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on The Artist’s part. The Client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.
5. Exclusivity
Exclusivity is not guaranteed for the whole day of the event, therefore timings will be seriously considered when agreeing to any booking.
It is unlikely that there will be another event on the day; and any second event undertaken by The Artist will not affect the first event.
An exclusivity fee can be arranged if preferred.
6. Photography
The Client agrees that The Artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to The Artist’s website and social media pages. If The Client is not happy with this agreement, please make The Artist aware.
7. Travel Expenses
The Artist will travel for free within a 15mile radius of Fenstanton, Cambridge. A charge of 55p per mile will be added outside of this area including the return journey.
The Client will cover any necessary travel expenses of The Artist as agreed at time of booking. This is to include, should it be required, congestion charging and parking charges.
8. Location Move
Quite often venues will not allow The Artist into the bridal suite early enough on the morning of the wedding. If The Artist has to work across multiple locations, a £25 charge per artist will be added to the wedding day fee. A fee is added to cover time spent setting up / packing down / setting up again as this will incur an earlier start time overall.
9. Assistants
On occasion, The Artist may need to bring an assistant to help out if there are time restraints/multiple people to get ready. This will be agreed with The Client when the schedule for the morning is sent out. A £30 booking fee per assistant will apply and their travel fees. I will always aim to find the most local assistant. I will notify you of full travel costs when quoting.
If numbers reduce resulting in the assistant no longer being needed then 50% of the deposit will be lost. This is to compensate the booked assistant who has kept the whole of your wedding morning free exclusively for you.
10. Trials
Trials are only available on Thursdays and some Friday's 9.30am-4pm. I do not offer trials on the weekend due to them being peak wedding slots.
Trials are available for The Client + a max of 2 others from the bridal party if required
due to the length of time a trial can take.
